Frequently Asked Questions
ln September 2019, we organised the first edition of an international neo-folk/darkwave/industrial festival cruise called Waves of Darkness. The subsequent feedback surpassed our wildest expectations! Despite the event initially being met with doubt, the vast majority of attendees found it to be the ultimate recipe for the most memorable of weekends. An entire cruise ship full of likeminded maniacs enjoying tax-free booze, a stacked line-up, and crawling distance to not only venues, restaurants, and bars but also their beds. For this very reason, we decided to revive Stockholm Slaughter by giving it the Baltic Sea treatment.
Alas, no – meals are not included. That would simply have been too good to be true! Nevertheless, Baltic Queen offers a great variety of restaurants and bars. There is an option to pre-book your meals; not necessary but definitely recommended. This can be done at any point between booking your ticket and the ship’s departure. You can check their menus and pricelists here.
The check-in desk opens at 3pm and closes at 4:30pm. Meaning, after 4:30pm you will not be issued a boarding card. For those flying into Stockholm via Arlanda or Bromma, we recommend that you book flights with an arrival time of 1pm at the latest. If you land at Skavsta Airport, make sure to get there before 11:30am.
Before embarking, you will be subject to a security check similar to those at airports. It is strictly prohibited to bring any kind of weapons, drugs, alcohol or food. And yes – food it is not permitted to bring onboard any cruise ship. This a general rule which is applied worldwide in order to prevent outbreaks of food-poisoning. You can find more information about the embarkation process here.
Yes, most of the participating bands will bring merchandise to be sold onboard. Kindly observe that due to an often weak or even non-existent internet signal, we are unable to accept card-payments at the merch stand. We recommend that you bring along plenty of cash.
After the last few years, fans, organizers, and artists alike are all too familiar with unexpected cancellations. While immensely frustrating for everyone involved, such situations are almost always entirely out of control. For this reason, Slaughter at Sea has opted for a flexible cancellation policy. What this means in practice is that you will be able to cancel your tickets and get a full refund up until 30th of June 2022, without having to show any medical certificate or other such documents. The amount will be paid back to you on the same card/bank account that you used when you did the payment.
After the 30th of June this option will no longer be available, and moreover, the ticket prices will increase. To make sure you get the best out of it, book your tickets before the end of June.
Yes, you may at any time remove or change the travel party in your cabin. To do so you need to have the booking code and the security code at hand. The total price will automatically change when you add/remove people from your cabin.
A, B and E cabins (with the exception of A-premium) have 4 beds in each cabin, as well as a private toilet. 4 is the maximum amount of people if you have booked the previously mentioned cabin category. The A-premium cabins, as well as all suits have a maximum capacity of 2 people.
